Spring Break

I've just finalized my travel plans for spring break! I'm going to Venice, Florence and Rome. I'm so excited to go back to Italy. I loved it so much the first time and can't wait for the overwhelming landscapes and architectural beauty of Italy. And gelato too!

Museum of East Asian Art

Explored the Museum of East Asian Art today with Dan! The gallery is being refurbished so we couldn't see all of the exhibits but it was still a lovely museum. I loved the Jade and lacquer pieces. The two exhibits that were currently at the museum were the "Porcelain Jewels: Figures from the Hirado Mikawachi Kilns of Japan" and paintings from the exhibit "Chinese Zodiac in Bath"

Sally Lunn's

I had tea at Sally Lunn's today with my roommate Josh. I got the Jane Austen cream tea with a "Sally Lunn Bun" which is a very large bun that originated in Bath, often scented with lemon and served with clotted cream and jam. The bakery also serves as a museum and is one of the oldest houses in Bath. And, as always, Josh was wonderful company.

Sticky Toffee Pudding

My new favorite British dessert. Sticky toffee pudding is a British steamed dessert consisting of a very most sponge cake, made with finely chopped date or prunes, covered in a toffee sauce and served with vanilla ice cream or custard.
